The designer came in to the project late in the game, she was invited to pay a
visit to the facility while it was under construction and asked the client what
is plans were for many of the prominent spaces. He'd felt that the designers
he'd hired thus far, just weren't "getting it". When his answer to the
question was "I don't know", Gelman went to work to try to better encapsulate
his ideas in built form. The collaboration proved successful and the client
continues to have positive feedback about his spaces.
